I have created art since I was a small child, to me art making is intrinsically healing. Colour is vital in my naieve and somewhat quirky style, and my colour palette is a strong element which I have developed over the years. The process of creating lies dear to my heart, not necessarily the end result. I have been painting and creating for nearly fifty years, and love the creative life I live. I have artworks in personal collections in London, Canada, America, South Africa, France, New Zealand and many states in Australia to private collectors.
I enjoy most media, but lately have been experimenting with mixed media, which I have found to be very rewarding. I like to put atmosphere and emotions into my paintings, I hope viewers can experience some of the joy, some of the pain and bring some of their own interpretations to play when viewing my artworks. Over the last twenty years I have exhibited paintings in local exhibitions with some success of selling and receiving the judges encouragement awards and honourable mentions. I have had three successful solo exhibitions which challenged me but were most rewarding. I have been a practicing art therapist for twenty years and keep up my own art practice alongside my art therapy business.
