ARTIST NOTES: The Camelia flower which keeps me company during the dark & cold months of the year. As I take a walk in the neighbourhood & there is not a single flower or colour in sight & all the trees are leafless , this is the flower that infuses life into the garden a provides hope & positivity saying that spring is just around the corner.

ARTIST BIO

Rashmi is a graduate of Architecture from Sir JJ College of Architecture in Mumbai. She is a versatile artist who creates paintings & sketches in various mediums, in a range of genres of contemporary art including Portraiture, Still life and Landscape.

She specialises in Indian folk-art styles like Warli & Madhubani and has displayed her artwork in various exhibitions. Rashmi is an active member of IAA (Indian Australian Artists) and Melbourne Urban Sketchers group.

She runs art classes (ART n EASEL) & has more than 10 years of teaching experience in Art & Architecture. Rashmi is also an International Certified Yoga teacher & the Founder of Sanjeevani Yoga in Melbourne.

She had her Architecture & Interior Design firm (Imaginations Unlimited) in India & successfully completed several projects.

Rashmi’s art has been recognized in various forums, the most recent ones being ‘People’s choice –Commendable art work’ award at IAA exhibition in Nov 2017, ‘Best Art in Show’- Feb 2018 (Celebrating women-IAA)
